Sometimes talk of 'equality and diversity' can in fact disguise the reality of persistent and enduring inequalities, lurking below the surface and endangering social justice efforts. Through examination of gender, race, class and sexuality, our research explores female inequalities, including those that are hidden and often out of sight, even amidst equality legislation and a slew of diversity initiatives.
