Centre for Sustainable DevelopmentSustainability Learning Passport
Sustainability & sustainable development
At Strathclyde, we recognise that everyone is starting from a different place in terms of the knowledge and understanding they have of sustainability and sustainable development.
With this in mind, we have developed an online learning platform open to all students and staff at the University where you can build your knowledge, understanding and interests in all things sustainability.
These short offerings are not credit bearing, but you will receive a certificate or badge for completion and your ‘Sustainability Learning Passport’ can be shared with others to show the work and progress you have undertaken in this area.
How do I get my Sustainability Learning Passport?
The Sustainability Learning Passport can be found in MyPlace class SU500*.
Once signed in, you will see that all roads start with the Introduction to Sustainable Development. This course will provide you with the basic knowledge needed to take part in subsequent training, and will let you know all the exciting areas you can be engaged with when you are at Strathclyde. This course takes approximately one hour to complete with a short quiz, and some reflective questions along the way.
Once you have completed the intro course you can navigate towards other options to learn more about climate change or wider sustainability issues. The short certificate offerings are in a range of formats from online self-paced work to in person fun gamification workshops.
*Please note: this class is for Strathclyde students and staff and requires a University login
