Industry Advisory Board

Our Chemical & Process Engineering Industrial Advisory Board (IAB) is the cornerstone of our industrial engagement. The board, made up of experienced chemical engineers and managers, many of whom are Strathclyde graduates, links us to a wide range of industries and employers.

Current Board members represent companies such as Babcock International, Kent, Diageo, Petroleum Experts, Scottish Water, Booth Welsh, Astra Zeneca, Ceimig, Hiden Isochema, Mabbett, Scott Allen Associates, and independent consultants.

Established in 2024, the IAB's purpose is to enhance the Department’s connection and communication with industry. The board provides input on forward-looking business and technical trends, the needs and priorities of industry, government and the professional community as they bear on the Department’s mission, vision, outreach, development, research and curriculum.

Early Careers Alumni Board

Our Early Careers Alumni Board (ECAB) is a forum for recent graduates to support the Department and the Industrial Advisory Board (IAB) through activities including marketing, outreach and recruitment, enhancing the student experience, and developing student partnerships.

Current Board members represent companies such as Jacobs, Genesis Energies, Wood, Kent, McKinsey, Amgem, Veranova, RSE, EDF (UK), Energus, StimWell Services, and Imperial College London.

Established in 2024, the ECAB provides an opportunity for recent graduates who are enthusiastic for the success of the Department and who are motivated to achieve change to apply their skills and experience in ways that will add value to the work of the IAB and the Department.
